Once upon a time, Govinda was doing not one or two but 10-12 films in a year, but then suddenly Govinda took a break from films and got into politics. Recently filmmakers and producers accused Govinda of being ‘unprofessional’ and the film industry turned against Govinda. Recently he reacted to this in an interview.

Govinda recently appeared in Maniesh Paul’s podcast show. He also gave his side on the allegations of being ‘unprofessional’ on the show himself. Maniesh Paul had asked Govinda why and how the directors and producers had accused him of being unprofessional and lazy.

In response, Govinda said, ‘When you are successful, many people try to drag you down. When I was at the peak of my career for 14-15 years, when everything was going in my favour, then no one raised any issue. This is the film industry. People change with time and so do the equations. I was at the top for 14 years, there was no planning.

Govinda further said that but when I saw that people are turning against me, I could not do anything. People who grow up between things like astrology, numerology and vastu shastra, they do not pay attention to such people. Mountains also collapse.

Govinda made his Bollywood debut in the year 1986 with the film ‘Love 86’.
