Shilpa Shetty says that people’s attitude towards her changed after participating in the reality show ‘Big Brother’. The actress told that she participated in the show without knowing about it. Before ‘Bigg Boss’ became popular in India, Shilpa entered ‘Big Brother’. She was initially scared about the show.
According to media reports, Shilpa participated in ‘Big Brother’ in the year 2007, in which 14 celebs participated. All the housemates were living in a house that was isolated from the world, in which everyone had to save themselves from weekly elimination. Shilpa made headlines during the show when she faced racist comments from housemate Jade Goody.
Shilpa Shetty’s contract was very strict
Shilpa was later declared the winner of that season of the show. Shilpa said in a conversation with ‘Mashable India’ that she got worried about the show after watching some old episodes. She says, ‘I had seen a few episodes and I was horrified by what I saw. I told myself that I was not going to do all this, so my contract was very strict. My mother told him clearly- ‘We are Indians and we will not do everything.’
Shilpa Shetty got support from Asian people
She further said that when the show was supposed to run for four weeks, she thought she would stay here for only two weeks. She says, “I honestly felt that I would go and leave in the second week. I would get nominated every week and would have survived. I thought how is this happening? Then in the third week, I came to know from somewhere that there are many Asians who are voting for me.
Shilpa Shetty will be seen in ‘Nikamma’
