Pakistani lyricist made allegations of copying

‘The Punjaban Song’ recently got into controversy after showing its glimpse in the trailer of ‘Jug Jug Jio’. Abrar-ul-Haq had accused the film makers of copying his songs without permission. He wrote in a tweet, “I have not sold my song Nach Punjaban to any Indian film and reserve the right to go to court to claim damages.”

T-Series bought the rights

Abrar further wrote in his tweet, “Producers like Karan Johar should not use copy songs. This is my sixth song being copied which will not be allowed at all. To this, music label T-Series rubbished Abrar’s claims and said that he had legally bought the rights to the song.
