The director of ‘Chhello’ going to the Oscars made a big statement about RRR and The Kashmir Files, said- Sorry


Till recently, the name of SS Rajamouli’s film ‘RRR’ for Oscar 2023 was on many top trends but now Gujarati film Chhelo show is in discussion. It has been officially selected by India for the 95th Academy Awards i.e. Oscar 2022. Many people thought that Ram Charan and Jr NTR’s ‘RRR’ would be selected for this award but it did not happen. Although the film has been appreciated by Hollywood directors and writers not only in India but it missed the Oscars. Meanwhile, the director of Gujrapi film Nalin has given his response and said some words for RRR.

Netizens not happy with Chhelo’s Oscar nomination

Ever since the name of ‘Chhelo’ has surfaced as India’s official nomination for the Oscars, there have been mixed reactions on social media. Many people are blaming the jury for ignoring a film like RRR and reprimanding it by writing nonsense. Netizens are questioning the biased mindset of giving little or no importance to box office friendly films. Even movie lovers from abroad are not happy with the jury’s decision.

The director of Chhelo gave this statement

Amidst all such talk, Chhelo director Nalin has broken his silence while talking to ETimes. On RRR and other Indian films being ousted from the Oscars, he said, ‘I’m sorry; I Am Soryy I can’t comment on that. This is a question for the jury which consisted of 17 people. It was a unanimous election and I can only assume that the jury was pleasantly surprised by my film. He had seen other media films for 2 days as India’s Oscar entry- ‘The Kashmir Files’, ‘RRR’ and ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’.

Meanwhile, it is being said that RRR still has a chance to make it to the Oscars even though Chhelo is officially confirmed by India. Varian Films, which distributes the film in the US, has urged the Academy members to select the film RRR for various categories through voting.
