Cannes In the 75th edition of the film festival, the trailer of Shyam Benegal’s directorial film ‘Mujib – The Making of a Nation’ was launched. The special thing is that this film has been produced together by India-Bangladesh, so representatives of both the countries together launched the trailer of the film. The film is a biopic of the father of Bangladesh nation ‘Bangabandhu’ Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. In this film, the journey from his childhood to the creation of a nation will be shown.

‘Mujib – The Making of a Nation’ has been directed by India’s most popular and creative Shyam Benegal. The film was shot in large parts of India and Bangladesh. The trailer of the film was jointly launched by Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur and his counterpart Hasan Mehmood. He described Bangabandhu as energetic and great admiral.

The lead role in the film is Bangladesh’s popular actor Arifin Shuvu and actress Nusrat Imroz Tisha. Arifin Shaikh is playing the role of Mujibur Rahman while Nusrat is playing the character of his wife Sheikhesh Fazilatunnesa (Renu). The film also depicts the struggle, strength and role of Faziltunnesa in Mujibur Rahman’s success.

Anurag Thakur after launching the trailer of the film said, “We have seen an epic trailer of a historical leader (Mujib). It is the result of the efforts of all the cast and crew from India and Bangladesh. The governments of both the countries have also cooperated a lot in making it. Despite the pandemic, it was possible to make this film.

Anurag Thakur said that the idea of ​​making a film on Bangabandhu was mooted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Let us tell you that India has contributed a lot in getting Bangladesh independence from Pakistan.
