Kannada Actor Yash starrer ‘KGF-Chapter 2’ was released, which still remains at the Hindi box office. Earlier, Ram Charan and Jr NTR starrer ‘RRR’ made under the direction of SS Rajamouli and Allu Arjun starrer ‘Pushpa: The Rise – Part 1’ did well all over the country. The interesting fact about these films was that despite being in the original South Indian language, these three films dominated the Hindi box office. After seeing the hold of these films at the Hindi box office, actor Kicha Sudeep made a tweet, which sparked a debate about Hindi films vs South Indian films.
Kichcha Sudeep (Kichcha Sudeepa Vs Ajay Devgn) wrote in a tweet that Hindi is no longer our national language. On Sudeep’s tweet, Bollywood actor Ajay Devgan disagreed with him and gave a befitting reply. However, after several tweets between the two, the confusion of both was cleared and agreed to talk together, but the debate between Bollywood and South is still on.
After Salman Khan, Mahesh Babu, Manoj Bajpayee and Kangana Ranaut, now Ranveer Singh (Ranveer Singh Reacts On Hindi Vs South Films) has jumped into this debate. He has called the cinema of the whole country one. Ranveer said in an interview to Bollywood Life, “I saw Pushpa, I don’t know Telugu. I watched RRR, I don’t speak that language – but I was absolutely impressed by these films and the craft.”
Audiences have liked these films: Ranveer
Ranveer Singh further said, “All I can say is that I can only appreciate the excellence in craft that these films have seen and I am very proud of how well they are doing. And they have been well liked and accepted by all kinds of audiences. This makes me very, very proud because I have never seen such films in other films.”
‘Indian cinema is one’
Ranveer Singh said in the end, “It’s all yours, man. Indian cinema is one.” Talking about the workfront, Ranveer and Shalini Pandey starrer ‘Jayeshbhai Jordaar’ is releasing in theaters from today. Apart from this, he is going to be seen in Rohit Shetty’s directorial ‘Circus’.
