Kubra Sait used to be body-shaming in school, the actress said – ‘People used to call ‘Cobra’ and ‘Medusa’

Actress Kubra Sait The first book of ‘Open Book’ is going to be launched on June 27. Publication house HarperCollins India announced this last month. Kubbra has also been posting related to her books since last month and is telling her feelings related to it. Now in a new interview, Kubbra has revealed that she faced body shaming during her school days. He has also mentioned this incident in his book. He told how he explained his experience in his book. Kubbra made her Bollywood debut in 2011 with Salman Khan’s Ready.

Talking about his book in an interview to ETimes, Kubra Sait recalled the time when he was called ‘bully’ and people called him ‘Cobra’ and ‘Medusa’. He said, “My name is Kubra, I was called ‘Cobra’. I had curly hair, I was called Medusa. I never allowed anyone to body-shame, but I was bullied in school because of the color of my eyes.”

Kubra Sait further said, “Today I will not meet anyone on date 2 if they have not already complimented my eyes on date 1 (laughs). But those eyes changed me. I didn’t accept my name for a long time. If I had a choice, I would have changed it long ago but when I saw the meaning of the name (Kubra means ‘great’) did I understand the energy my name was giving me.”

Kubra Sait further said, “I used to just laugh fake. I used to be the only one laughing in a room so that people notice me and someone notices me. We don’t know how much our past memories affect us. I didn’t want these stories to get buried inside. I went through ups and downs and wrote it in a non-linear way so that anyone can read it from anywhere.”

Let us tell you that Bangalore-born Kubra Sait made her acting debut with Salman Khan and Asin Thottumkal’s ‘Ready’, in which she had a small role. Later she appeared in many films like ‘Sultan’, ‘Jawaani Jaaneman’, ‘Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare’ and ‘City of Life’. He got popularity from the web series ‘Sacred Games’. He was last seen in the Apple TV Plus Series Foundation.
