‘There was a change in my voice’

Then I did a charity concert in Dehradun at the age of 21. When I was singing Mohammad Rafi’s song, suddenly I felt a change in my voice. It seemed that my tonal quality, pitch, expression and diction were all in the right place. Rahman sir’s advice once again came to my mind. I came back home and told my parents that the time has come to go back to Mumbai.”
