‘KGF: Chapter 2’ (KGF: Chapter 2) is arguably the biggest Indian film of the year 2022. The film was released on 14 April, after which it broke many records. Yash appeared in the lead role in the film. The film was successful in bringing the audience to theaters across the country. Now the producer of ‘KGF 2’ Vijay Kiragandur has confirmed that the next part of the film will also be brought.
Vijay said in an interview to Dainik Bhaskar that he is planning to make a Marvel-like franchise of the hit film. He also told about the shooting of ‘KGF 3’. Let us tell you that Vijay is the founder of ‘Hombale Films’, which has produced KGF films.
Vijay: Wants to make something like ‘Doctor Strange’
When the makers were asked whether Yash would reprise the role of Rocky or a new actor would be brought in, they said, ‘We are going to go ahead and create a Marvel-like universe. We want to bring different roles from different films and make something like ‘Doctor Strange’.
Shooting of ‘KGF 3’ may start after October
He further says, ‘We want to create something similar to what is shown in ‘Spider-Man: Home Coming’ or ‘Doctor Strange’, so that we can reach as many audiences as possible.’ When asked about the shooting schedule of ‘KGF 3’, Vijay said, “Director Prashanth Neel is currently busy with ‘Saalar’. About 30-35 percent of the shooting of the film has been done. The next schedule is expected to start from next week. We hope to complete it by October-November this year.
‘KGF 2’ global collection crosses 1100 crores
Vijay told about the shooting of KGF, ‘We are planning to start shooting for ‘KGF 3’ after October this year. We hope that this film will be released by 2024. In India, ‘KGF 2’ has strengthened its hold against Marvel’s film ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ at the box office. The film’s global collection has now crossed Rs 1100 crore. Prashanth Neel has written and directed ‘KGF 2’, which also stars Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, Srinidhi Shetty and Prakash Raj in pivotal roles.
