Recently it has come to light that many inmates of Agra Central Jail, where this film was shown, have passed the 10th and 12th exams inspired by the film.
According to a recent report in Hindustan Times, 12 inmates of Agra Central Jail have now completed the UP Board 10th examination. Of these, 9 prisoners have passed the 10th class examination, while 3 have passed the intermediate 12th class examination. Out of 9 prisoners who passed the exam, 3 got first class, while 6 got second class. As soon as this news reached Abhishek Bachchan, the actors were stunned.

This news is better than any award: Abhishek
described the film’s tremendous impact as ‘better than any award’. He gave the credit of such achievement to Tushar Jalota, director of ‘Dasth’ and the students. Apart from Abhishek Bachchan, Yami Gautam and Nimrat Kaur are also in lead roles in Tenth. The film followed the life of politician Ganga Ram Chowdhary and his ambition to clear his Class 10 exams. The film was released on Netflix and GeoCinema on 7 April.
